As many of you may already know, I’ve surrendered my skin to the ZO Skin Health range! I’ve been using the “Fundamental 5” for almost four weeks, and I’ve also popped in an extra treat for the evening – ZO Ossential Growth Factor Serum. It’s a lightweight gel which I smooth over my face after cleansing and applying oil control. The serum tightens and firms the skin, therefore reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. It helps to restore skin volume, strengthens weak skin, restores hydration and enhances DNA repair. This all sounds too good to be true, right?

Here’s the secret – amongst its rather impressive list of skin boosting ingredients is Retinol (Vitamin A).

Retinol is a potent antioxidant which stimulates skin cell growth and builds collagen, works to protect your skin from free radicals AND repairs damaged skin cells. You’ll no doubt have seen products containing Retinol in your local supermarket, beauty stores, and advertised in the media – the key secret here is that those products simply do NOT have enough active ingredients within them to actually WORK.  For a product to work, it needs to have the power and potency to make change occur within the skin, and products which can do that aren’t licensed for sale in the general marketplace. The actual permitted allowance for Retinol in an over the counter product is 0.02%. ZO Skin Health and ZO Medical products contain up to 1% Retinol, and are only available from specialised stockists who have undergone extensive training in the complexity of the skin, its many layers, the cells within each layer and the role each one plays. Why? Because these products have a high enough amount of the key active ingredients within them to alter the cells in the skin and make a visible change!
