If you’re considering lip augmentation then you’ll no doubt want your lips to still look as natural as possible whilst appearing hydrated, healthy and volumised. The key to a good lip augmentation is for it to be subtle and undetectable to others, with no obvious ridge above or below the lip margin or excessive volume which doesn’t appropriately fit the natural proportions of your face. At RejuvaMed we will never administer more than 1ml lip filler in a single treatment appointment as it’s important to allow your lips to gently expand with the filler – and as the lips naturally swell during and immediately after the treatment, it’s important to wait at least two weeks before having a review to assess your results, at which stage if you would like more than 1ml lip filler to be added this can be discussed.

What products do you use?
RejuvaMed Health & Wellness uses the premium fillers Juverderm Smile and Volift, which are particularly suited for the lips and peri-oral area. These fillers are incredibly smooth and provide a very natural looking result.
What will happen during treatment?
Before treatment you will have a free consultation with Dr McKeating to discuss your individual needs. If you decide to proceed with treatment he will use a fine needle to inject small amounts of the gel filler into the lips to finely sculpt and provide fullness and definition.
Does the treatment hurt?
We only use very small needles to inject the filler into your lips and the process only take a few minutes. It can be a little painful, but the filler contains a local anaesthetic called lidocaine which helps make the procedure more comfortable.
How long does lip augmentation last?
The filler is naturally absorbed by your body over time, but the results of your treatment will last between 6 and 12 months depending on the type of filler used.
Are lip augmentation fillers dangerous?
Dermal fillers should only be administered by a doctor or nurse who is fully qualified in injectable aesthetics. There are some possible minor side effects and these will be discussed in detail with you during your consultation.
