Suitable for all skin types and requiring no pre-peel skin preparation, The Perfect Peel is founded on a key anti-ageing ingredient which has never before been used in a peel – Glutathione. This ultimate anti-oxidant is able to penetrate deep into the cellular level of the skin to fight oxidant damage and is the anti-ageing answer to premature wrinkling.

Glutathione is naturally produced by our bodies but as we gradually age our levels deplete due to a combination of the general ageing process, air pollutants, sun exposure and environmental stress. Glutathione is also proven to reverse melanin’s metabolism and therefore lightens dark pigmentations.

The Perfect Peel can also be tailored to meet specific skin concerns which include anti-ageing, acne and pigmentation by adding in a booster. It’s safe and effective on all skin types and improves the appearance of many skin concerns including hyperpigmentation, melasma, sun damage and age spots, fine lines and wrinkles, enlarged pores and acne.

Frequently Asked Questions on The Perfect Peel:

We aim to answer all your questions before your treatment.  If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact us or book a consultation to discuss your personalised treatment.
Is there any skin preparation required prior to The Perfect Peel?

No skin preparation is required prior to this treatment however patients who use Accutane must stop usage for a full 6 months prior to treatment

Who performs this treatment at RejuvaMed?

The Perfect Peel is performed by our Aesthetics Nurse Helen Little at both our Clitheroe clinic. A consultation is required prior to treatment to assess your skin and ensure that The Perfect Peel is appropriate for you.

What is the downtime like following this treatment?

The amount of skin peeling after The Perfect Peel is mainly a sloughing of thin sheets of skin from the epidermis which usually begins around day 3 post-treatment and is generally completed by day 6 or 7. The skin cannot be washed, rubbed or touched for the first 6 hours following treatment and you cannot apply makeup or skincare products until at least day 2 however guidance will be provided by Nurse Helen during your consultation. You will be given some products to apply to your skin at certain intervals following your peel and Nurse Helen will advise you on how and when to use these. It’s really important to select a suitable date for your Perfect Peel treatment which won’t affect any special events or occasions.

How much will I peel?

The amount of peeling post-treatment does vary person to person but it is likely that you will begin to peel at day 2-3 and that the peeling will mostly be finished by day 7. The full effects of The Perfect Peel continue to work at cellular levels even after the peeling has subsided and for this reason we advise that the full results from your peel will be seen after 28 days, or a full cycle of cellular turnover.

How will my skin look immediately after The Perfect Peel?

Immediately after your treatment your skin will either appear red, like a sunburn or sometimes slightly darker so it’s important to plan your Perfect Peel appointments for a suitable time where you can allow the skin to settle. Peeling usually begins on day 3 however the homecare moisturiser (provided to you at your peel appointment) will reduce the visibility of your peeling by hydrating the skin. By day 6 or 7 the process should be complete with noticeable and astonishing results!

How many Perfect Peel treatments will I need?

This peel may be applied every 4-6 weeks if necessary until the desired results are achieved and thereafter we recommend a peel once every 3-4 months to maintain your results as well as protect against environmental damage and prevent further ageing of the skin.

Will the Perfect Peel help to improve my acne and acne scarring?

The formulation of this peel was designed to help improve various problematic skin conditions and acne is a major factor in what the treatment is tailored to resolve. It helps to minimise scarring and damage from acne as the Glutathione increases cellular turnover however depending on the severity of these scars a series of 3-4 peel treatments will be required to diminish this damage and scarring.
