MORPHEUS8 has taken the world of cosmetic medicine by storm and is now the celebrity ‘go to’ treatment, with rave reviews from Judy Murrary, Amanda Holden and Kim Kardashian!
The treatment uses a combination of microneedling and radiofrequency technologies. Microneedling creates a ‘micro-trauma’ in the skin, stimulating the natural healing response, whilst radiofrequency uses heat to ‘shrink wrap’, tighten and lift the skin at a deeper level.
The MORPHEUS8 system ‘injects’ the radiofrequency energy into the skin with lots of tiny needles, and the depth of the needles can be adjusted depending on the area of skin being treated. For skin resurfacing the needle depth is smaller to work in the epidermis (the outer layer), for skin tightening it’s a little deeper to work in the dermis (the middle layer of the skin) and for contouring, the needles can be adjusted to reach as far as the subdermal tissue, which is the deepest layer of the skin.
In effect, by combining these two technologies together, MORPHEUS8 gives you two treatments in one, with enhanced and much faster results!
Prior to treatment we apply an anaesthetic numbing cream, to ensure that the procedure is as comfortable as possible.
The skin may be a little pink for a day or so afterwards, but downtime is minimal.
The treatment is suitable for all skin tones and can be performed on any area which exhibits wrinkles, skin laxity, discolouration or acne scarring.
Results can be seen within a few days following treatment, however your appearance will continue to gradually improve in the following weeks. For best results we recommend a course of 3 treatments spaced 6 to 8 weeks apart. Results last around a year, so annual follow up sessions may be required to maintain your youthful appearance.
