Forma RadioFrequency

If you’re looking for a treatment which is non-invasive, has minimal downtime and starts working immediately, then Forma radiofrequency is the answer!

As we gradually age the collagen structures and elastin fibres with the dermal layer of the skin become weaker, resulting in the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, thinner skin and laxity. To slow these effects of ageing on our skin we need to stimulate the cells to repair and regenerate weakened collagen bonds and as such, the demand for non-invasive treatments which can offer these improvements is rapidly increasing.

Whilst ideal as an anti-ageing treatment to improve the appearance of already present fine lines, wrinkles and laxity, Forma is also hugely popular as a preventative facial treatment for those even in their 20’s to stave off signs of ageing and give the skin a boost.

Our Range of Forma RF Treatments:

How does Forma work?

Forma delivers radiofrequency energy to gradually heat the tissue within the dermal layer of the skin. The heat generated reaches between 41-43 degrees, causing micro-injury to the existing collagen bonds and triggering the body’s natural healing mechanisms to heal and repair these bonds. The result is a natural-looking lift, with tightened and contoured skin. A face and neck treatment treatment usually takes around 75 minutes and feels like a warm massage on the skin.

Frequently Asked Questions on Forma RF:

We aim to answer all your questions before your treatment.  If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact us or book a consultation to discuss your personalised treatment.
Is there any downtime?
After treatment the skin may appear pink owing to the increased blood flow in the area from the heat energy and this will settle within the next hour or so. Normal activities can be resumed immediately.
How many sessions will I need?

How many sessions you require is dependent on your skin and the amount of skin laxity you currently have. We offer courses of Forma at a reduced package price as regular sessions can give those with skin laxity the most benefit. Once we’ve started to stimulate the production of collagen and tighten the elastin fibres within the skin it’s beneficial to maintain this cellular productivity with continuous collagen regeneration. Unfortunately the natural ageing process doesn’t stop and the amount of collagen we naturally produce decreases with age, so maintaining collagen bond repair with Forma can be really beneficial for your skin!

It is possible to have a Forma session weekly so for those with skin laxity we often advise a course of 6-8 weekly sessions and then a single session every 6-8 weeks to maintain your results. Patients wishing to have Forma purely as a preventative measure to ageing may wish to have a single session every 4-8 weeks.

We also offer Morpheus8 treatments at the clinic for advanced anti-ageing which combines radiofrequency with microneedling and we include 3x FREE Forma sessions with every Morpheus8 treatment course as it’s a winning non-invasive combination!

High quality skincare with high levels of active ingredients such as the ZO Skin Health range by Dr Zein Obagi (available from the clinic) can really help to enhance overall skin health and give increased anti-ageing benefits.
