Upper Blepharoplasty (Upper Eyelid Lift)
One of the many natural signs of ageing is the appearance of excess skin on the upper eyelids, resulting in them appearing heavy and drooping. This skin laxity can also be a hereditary issue and occur from a young age. The excess skin appears fine and wrinkled and can sometimes cause problems with the upper field of vision. Whilst many over the counter cosmetic products claim to improve the appearance of this excess skin, this is merely temporary “camouflage”.
Some clinics or salons offer plasma pen treatments (fibroblast or similar) for lax upper and lower eyelids. Beware of such treatments. They are usually ineffective and can cause burns and scarring. The only real and permanent solution to lax upper eyelids is to undergo an upper blepharoplasty procedure.

You will be sent a pre-care document along with information on pricing to read through at your leisure. A member of the clinic team will then arrange a follow up call a week after your consultation to arrange a date for your surgery, should you wish to proceed.
The Upper Blepharoplasty Procedure
Your surgery will be performed under local anaesthetic. Upper blepharoplasty eyelid surgery cost is £2785. Pricing may vary with additional options including ptosis repair or browlift.
Review
There is a further review around 2 months after your surgery to check on your final results. Again, there is no additional fee for this.

What will happen during the procedure?
The excess skin which is to be removed is marked and the incision is made in the natural crease of your upper eyelid. A safe amount of excess skin is removed, and through the same incision, fat can also be removed if indicated. The skin incision is then closed with sutures, and these are usually removed one week after surgery. The eyelid scars fade naturally with time and are normally barely visible after some months.
